On April 22, Josh Barnett took to social media where he expressed his desire to have a certain bout happen between one of the greatest wrestlers of all time against an up-and-coming prodigy who has competed at Bloodsport before.
The father of Dempsey is William Regal, the man responsible for training Bryan Danielson and helping him turn into one of the greatest of all time. The two had a brief run in All Elite Wrestling when Regal led the Blackpool Combat Club’s Danielson, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta.
