Tony Schiavone Clarifies He Is Not Retiring Anytime Soon

Tony Schiavone makes a clarification about his future in announcing.

While speaking On the latest What Happened When podcast, Schiavone cleared up some comments he made on his podcast about being “tired,” which some took to mean that he would be retiring soon. Those comments kicked off headlines of retirement.

Adam Demois, I talked to him yesterday with our bonus podcast. He said, ‘so you’re retiring huh?’ I went, ‘what the f*ck are you talking about?’

Apparently, one day I was tired, and I said, ‘man I’m just tired. Maybe I’ll just do a podcast with you and do video games the rest of my life. Well, that became like a clickbait, and so I’d like to say that the people who put that on the clickbait are liars. They’re pieces of sh*t, and they can go f*ck themselves. How does that sound? I even sent an email to one of them.”

“I said I know you and your readers hate me, that’s fine. But I have no plans to step away from announcing. Your clickbait headline is completely false. That’s all I said…

Tony Schiavone on What Happened When

It’s good to know that Tony Schiavone is not retiring right now. He is one of the bright spots of AEW currently on commentary and his interactions with Britt Baker. Eventually, he will walk from AEW and pro wrestling, but it’s good to hear that he is having fun with his current employer.
