CM Punk Undergoes Triceps Surgery, Expected To Be Out For 8 Months

CM Punk will not grace our TV screens again for quite some time, at least, not from a competitive stand point.

Punk suffered a torn triceps during his match with Jon Moxley at All Out and then was involved in a backstage brawl at the PPV, likely worsening the damage to the muscle.

Dave Meltzer provided an update on Punk as part of his Daily Update, revealing Punk underwent surgery for the torn muscle earlier this week.

CM Punk underwent surgery earlier this week for the torn left triceps he suffered early in the Jon Moxley match. Is usually about an 8 month recovery period. His doctor recommended surgery right away to prevent any muscle atrophy.

Time will tell how long the former two time AEW World Champion will be out of action for but for now, it appears Punk will be on the shelf for quite some time.
