Triple H Has Brought Back One Particular Spot Vince McMahon Had Banned

It looks like there is one spot in particular that Triple H is a fan of that Vince McMahon had previously banned.

With the retirement of Vince McMahon in July, Triple H took over creative control of WWE. This has lead to many things changing, in particular things that Vince McMahon had previously banned. Now it appears on spot that Vince banned was used in a major title match at WWE Clash At The Castle.

During the main event, Solo Sikoa pulled the referee from the ring as Drew McIntyre had Roman Reigns beaten. This is a spot that hasn’t been used in recent WWE times. Now, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that this was actually a spot Vince McMahon had banned producers from using, with Triple H bringing the spot back.

In addition, what was a trope in WWE major matches 20 years ago, the pin spot where the face has it won but someone from outside the ring pulls the ref out of the ring at the count of two, breaking up the pin in a singles match, was barred by Vince McMahon because it makes no sense. Granted, almost everything in pro wrestling makes no sense. I actually agreed with that because even though it is an easy pop, it just looks stupid. But Paul Levesque has brought the spot back, and debuted Solo Sikoa with it, pulling the ref out of the ring at two after McIntyre hit the Claymore kick just before the main event finish.
