Looks in Wrestling

Wrestling is a visual medium, the way a wrestler looks and carries themselves matters a lot, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be a start if you don’t have ten inch pythons and abs.

Recently, some people (WWE fans) were critizicing Eddie Kingston’s physic and tje argument about looks was all over social media.

The obsession with looks has always been a thing in wrestling, but when Vince McMahon and Hulk Hogan took the world of wrestling, a new standard was created in the minds of some people.

Looks are important in a way, but a good booker would recognize that looks are not everything, not every day does someone with the looks of Jade Cargill come in the world of wrestling, but that shouldn’t be on the way of giving people with different looks and backgrounds a push.

Dusty Rhodes, one of the biggest legends wrestling has, didn’t have abs and then inch pythons, but he was able to connect with people with his amazing promos and his in-ring work. In a way, Eddie Kingston is the modern-day Dusty Rhodes.

Looks are not everything, you can have the best physic ever and be terrible when it matters the most, inside the ring. This notion that looks are every thing needs to stop for the sake of fans and specially wrestlers.
