AEW Wrestler Set To Get A New Licensed Theme Song

Orange Cassidy has a licensed theme currently in AEW with “Where Is My Mind?” By the Pixies.

Now, it looks like Orange is set for another new song, according to Fightful Select. Earlier today, Orange Cassidy noted on twitter that he’s getting something new at Sunday’s Forbidden Door.

Fightful put out a full report after Orange’s tweet, clarifying exactly what he meant. A new, familiar theme is on the way.

An AEW wrestler is getting a new theme song, Fightful Select has learned. Orange Cassidy dropped a hint on Saturday night on Twitter saying he was “getting something new.”  Fightful has learned that the working plan is for Orange Cassidy to get a new, but familiar theme song in the form of Jefferson’ Starship’s “Jane.” AEW has secured licensing to use the song after he’s used “Where Is My Mind?” by the Pixies. In March 2021, it was reported that it was a multi-year agreement to use the Pixies’ song. Orange Cassidy formerly used “Jane” on the indies. Last year, Tony Khan said that he tried to reach out to Jefferson Starship, but ended up with The Pixies, noting “I’d tried to get it for a year & a half, they never even answered my emails, so I decided to take a huge swing, & it came through.” The 1979 single was prominently featured in Wet Hot American Summer, as well as its prequel and sequel series’.

We can’t wait to hear Jane ring through the arena come Sunday.
