Tonight’s edition of IMPACT on AXS TV aired on 5/12 and was taped at the Promowest Pavilion in Newport, Kentucky.

Kenny King def. Chris Bey to qualify for the Ultimate X Match at Slammiversary. King picked up the win after Maria Kanellis distracted Bey which allowed King to attack Bey from behind and land the Royal Flush.

The Influence (Madison Rayne & Tenille Dashwood) (C) def. Gisele Shaw and Alisha Edwards to retain the IMPACT Knockouts World Tag Team Titles. The Influence retained their titles after Tenille dispatched of Shaw and she and Madison planted Alisha with The Collab for the 1-2-3.

Violent By Design cut a promo on The Briscoes and called them out for a IMPACT World Tag Team Title rematch after losing their titles to The Briscoes at Under Siege.

Gail Kim announced the first-ever Queen of The Mountain Match for Slammiversary. Gail announced IMPACT Knockouts World Champion Tasha Steelz, Deonna Purrazzo, Jordynne Grace and Chelsea Green as the competitors for the match and before Gail could announce the fifth and final participant, Tasha Steelz and Savannah Evans interrupted Gail. Tasha and Savannah tried to get Savannah to be the final participant but Gail announced it to be the recently returned Mia Yim. Tasha and Savannah surrounded Gail but Yim came down to make the save but Deonna Purrazzo came down and attacked Yim before Taya Valkyrie and Jordynne Grace made the save and stood tall alongside Mia and Gail to end the segment.

Josh Alexander and Tomohiro Ishii def. Jay White and El Phantasmo of Bullet Club. The IMPACT World Champion and Ishii claimed the victory after Alexander took out White, planted ELP with the C4 Spike and Ishii followed it up with a sliding elbow and a brain-buster for the win.

The IMPACT World Tag Team Champions The Briscoes responded to Violent By Design. The Briscoes said they’re not scared to give VBD a rematch, which they’ll do, next week.

Eric Young wins the Gauntlet for Gold Match to earn a match against Josh Alexander at Slammiversary for the IMPACT World Championship. The order of eliminations were as follows: Alex Shelley, Raj Singh, Bhupinder Gujjar, Johnny Swinger, Black Taurus, Rhyno, Heath, Rich Swann, Matt Rehwoldt, W. Morrissey, PCO, Moose, Steve Maclin and Chris Sabin. Sami Callahan appeared and took out Moose during the final four facing off.
