Rick Boogs Suffers Torn Quad During WrestleMania 38 Match

Night 1 of WrestleMania 38 took place tonight from AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas. The night opened with the SmackDown Tag Team Title Match between The Usos (c) and Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs.

During the match Rick Boogs delivered a stalling vertical suplex to Jey Uso, during the move Boogs squatted down and went to one knee. He then tried to carry both of The Usos on his shoulders later in the match, but his knee appeared to give out.

Boogs removed himself from the match, and officials attended to him outside of the ring. Bryan Alvarez noted that the finish to the match was changed due to the injury to Boogs.

Dave Meltzer has reported an early update on the condition of Rick Boogs, and stated that the early diagnosis is that Boogs suffered a torn quad.
