Israel Adesanya’s management company Paradigm Sports have put out a release stating that Adesanya has signed a new multi-fight deal with the UFC, making him “one of the top paid athletes in the history of mixed martial arts.”
“The Last Stylebender” is currently 3 title defences into his reign as Middleweight Champion and fights Robet Whittaker in his fourth title defence this Saturday at UFC 271. The new deal locks Adesanya down as one of the biggest stars the UFC have. The announcement has come at a time where fighter pay is an issue, especially for Francis Ngannou. Time will tell if the UFC offer a similar new deal with the heavyweight champion.
