Earlier this month Andrew Zarian of the Matt Men Podcast took to Twitter and announced that per a source of his AEW is planning a TNT Special on Jan 8th.
They would not be able to use the clash of champions names for obvious reasons However, it is being reported that the possible name for this show will be “Battle of the Belts” A throwback to NWA/CFW. Well, More details on the planned special have been released.
Yesterday on a media call for the upcoming Full Gear PPV Tony Khan confirmed those plans as AEW Dynamite moves to TBS to begin 2022.
That same week when we launch Dynamite on TBS, we’ll have Rampage on TNT, and then we’ll have the first-ever Battle of the Belts in AEW. Stay tuned for more info on that. 2022, we’re going to start it in a very big way,”
AEW Dynamite is set to move to TBS on January 5. As part of the deal, AEW announced quarterly specials that will air on TNT.
