Jim Ross Says He’d Love To See CM Punk Back In Pro Wrestling Business

CM Punk has a lot of fans who want to see him return to professional wrestling. It seems like he has one vocal supporter in a Hall of Fame caliber announcer.

CM Punk left the WWE following the 2014 Royal Rumble and he hasn’t been involved in pro wrestling since, but Jim Ross would love to see him back in the world of pro wrestling. While speaking about the match between Punk and Randy Orton from WrestleMania 27 on Grilling JR, Ross praised CM Punk and said he feels he still has a lot to offer pro wrestling. He even put over what Punk could bring besides his in-ring skills, feeling he could offer a lot to young talent as a mentor.

“Well, they had a really good match. I’m a big fan of both guys. You know, Randy and Phil Brooks.” “I wish Phil Brooks was back in the business, at least on a part-time basis, because I think he has a lot to offer, not just as a bell-to-bell performer but someone that has earned the respect of his peers and that he can help those guys. Those younger guys that were marks for CM Punk’s work, his attitude, you know, being defiant and somewhat controversial.”

Punk is a top name fans always want to see return. When AEW touted their newest signing that turned out to be Christian Cage, many fans instantly went to thoughts of CM Punk. While it wasn’t him, and he didn’t even tease that it would be, it’s obvious fans would still love to see him back in the ring.
