WWE Looking To Sign Former UK Reality Star Turned Pro Wrestler

WWE is starting to sign talents again, and there are reports it is going to be a “spree” when it comes to how many people they bring in. While we’ve already revealed that WWE has brought in Christian Casanova, Blake Christian, and Taya Valkyrie, they also made sure we knew the company brought in Eli Drake, now LA Knight.

Now it seems that while they’ve also continued the long standing thought of bringing in Davey Boy Smith Jr., another name the WWE seems to be interested in is UK independent star Adam Maxted, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Maxted has the size the WWE loves at 6’3 and 235 being in great shape. However, Maxted also has some crossover appeal as he is a former reality television star in the United Kingdom. The 28-year old was part of the second series of ITV’s Love Island and wound up finishing the show in fourth place with his partner.

Maxted began training for his pro wrestling career following the show and actually had a WWE tryout in 2017, though they didn’t sign him at the time. Maxted wound up getting a lot of exposure when he wound up finding himself on ITV’s World of Sport Wrestling. The promotion actually featured Smith, along with current NXT: UK stars like Rampage Brown, Ashton Smith, Dave Mastiff, Zack Gibson, Joe Coffey, and Kay Lee Ray.

While the company hasn’t confirmed the signing, they have serious interest in them and time will tell if they get their man.
