AEW Confirms Huge Tag Team Match For Next Week’s Dynamite

After last night’s Dynamite, Kenny Omega teased the world with an unsanctioned, falls count anywhere tag team match challenge where Jon Moxley and Lance Archer would team up to do battle with Omega and the newly arrived KENTA on the next edition of Dynamite. Now we know the match has been made official.

The AEW Twitter account has revealed that Tony Khan has now officially made the match as a falls count anywhere, anything goes tag match between the two teams for night two of Beach Break. This match will seemingly be the first to launch the new partnership between NJPW and AEW, but it’s starting with a bang.

Moxley and Kenta are on the road to their own one on one showdown for Moxley’s IWGP United States Title, a match that has been held up for months due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Moxley has not defended his title in close to a year because of the pandemic, but has slowly teased his match with KENTA, starting with making a taped appearance at WrestleKingdom in January and his face to face confrontation that aired on NJPW Strong about a week ago.

While Omega tried to offer friendship to KENTA following Dynamite, KENTA made it clear he wants no part of Omega, and he was strictly here for Moxley, and now he’ll be facing him in a tag match before their one on one title match.
