WrestleMania 37 will be a two night event, and two nights of shows means both nights need major marquee matches to make each of them unique and exciting. While it’s no doubt each night will be respectively headlined by the major titles being up for grabs, we now know the plan for the Universal Title match.
The Wrestling Observer/F4WOnline has reported that Edge will choose to face Roman Reigns as the result of winning the Royal Rumble, setting them up for WrestleMania. While it’s unknown when they will announce the match, that seems to be the route they’ll be going with.
Not sure when this will be officially announced, but Roman Reigns vs. Edge is the planned main event at WrestleMania.
This will be a huge match for the show, a fresh and first time matchup for Reigns and Edge, who have yet to cross paths in the WWE. Between Edge’s top tier promos, the incredible mic work of Paul Heyman, and the evolution of Reigns’ character into the Tribal Chief, the match looks set to be one of the biggest the WWE could offer as they start to build the battle of Spear vs. Spear.
Edge has been announced for SmackDown this week, a return to the brand he dominated for most of his singles run in the WWE.
