Last night, with no advertisement, WWE sprung on fans an appearance from Edge. While he didn’t appear live in the ThunderDome, Edge sent in a pre-recorded promo that told fans he would be entering the 2021 Royal Rumble.
Fans could be forgiven for thinking Edge had been live in the building or even somewhere like the Performance Center, having looked that he had recorded the promo in a wrestling ring. However, PWInsider has reported that Edge filmed the promo from his home in North Carolina. Edge owns a full sized ring on his personal property.
Edge’s promo was last night announcing his return to the ring was shot inside the ring he keeps on his property in North Carolina.
Edge is now officially announced for the Royal Rumble this Sunday. While it might not be the surprise it was last year, it’s now interesting to see whether or not Edge pulls off the victory this year.
