Mick Foley Has Contracted COVID-19

Mick Foley has tested positive for COVID-19.

The WWE legend has revealed on Twitter that he has tested positive for the disease following a virtual signing. He came into contact with someone working the signing, which unfortunately passed it onto Mick Foley.

In his video, Foley revealed he had been self-isolating in a hotel room for the past 18 days, missing out on the holidays with his family. He also urged people to please take the pandemic seriously.

I tested positive for COVID following a December virtual signing, and have been isolating in a hotel room for the past 18 days.

Please continue to take this virus seriously – mask up, social distance, look out for one another.

Wishing all of you a happy, healthy new year.

In the video, Foley revealed that he is indeed experiencing symptoms. Foley admitted that he had slipped on his attempts to take things seriously, having taken off his mask briefly during the signing and letting fans know both people who worked the signing indeed wore masks despite one person showing symptoms later that evening.

COVID-19 is no joke and in this difficult period of time, all we can do is continue to do our part to be safe. Wear masks, maintain social distancing, and do your best to follow all health and safety guidelines. Our thoughts go out to Foley in this time.
