Shane Helms Returns To Producer Role In WWE

Shane Helms has had an interesting 2020. The WWE producer was furloughed during the COVID-19 pandemic and found himself waiting to return to the company.

The interesting part comes when Helms took part in AEW’s Elite Deletion match at AEW’s Full Gear while on furlough along with former WWE superstar Gangrel. After the show, Tony Khan said he would love to have both stars back.

Khan might need to wait a little longer, because PWInsider reports that Helms returned to the company over the weekend. While others have lost their positions during this pandemic, the company has slowly brought people back during this time. Most of the positions that have remained on leave or have been terminated come from the live events department.

The lack of live events also cut down on the need for the amount of producers they had, and that’s what caused Helms’ furlough. Helms has now returned to the Raw brand and it seems to be where he will remain.
