Update on Bray Wyatt/Edge WrestleMania Rumor

Yesterday, WrestleVotes revealed that WWE had a possible alternative plan at WrestleMania for Edge. The very reliable source of news and rumors reported that WWE had been tossing around the idea of Edge facing Bray Wyatt.

There is an update on that, and it only makes the match more intriguing.

Earlier today, WrestleVotes reported that the match could be a mixed match where Wyatt teams with Alexa Bliss to meet Edge and Beth Phoenix.

Further: source states the initial idea came up as names were thrown around as possible opponents for a Wyatt & Bliss team at Mania. Edge & Beth Phoenix were mentioned. Source states both matches are “unlikely”. Orton vs Edge remains the plan as of now.

Long-term booking plans are very rare in WWE these days. However, with how fluid plans always seem to be, you never know if this initial plan could wind up being the endgame plan eventually. Bliss and Wyatt are a hot act on tv right now, so it makes sense for them to give them a featured match at WrestleMania. This might have to be a situation where we wind up waiting to see what they inevitably do.
