WWE Considering First Time Match For WrestleMania

While WrestleMania plans aren’t set in stone just yet, one match that often gets said will be on the show next year is Randy Orton vs. Edge. Edge’s injury has put a little bit of a cramp in those plans, but Randy Orton’s recent WWE Title win has seemingly shed more spotlight on the potential of that match.

However, WWE may have eyes on different plans for The Rated R Superstar.

WrestleVotes, a typically reliable source for wrestling news and rumors on Twitter has posted an interesting rumor about potential plans for Edge at WrestleMania and they don’t involve his former Rated RKO partner.

WrestleMania update: Source states that while Edge vs Randy Orton has been the long standing plan, and still is at the moment, the idea of Edge vs The Fiend has been discussed a great deal for the show.

As we’ve stated several times in addition to proof being recent WWE television, plans are fluid and are subject to change. Orton and Edge seems to be the plan they keep coming back to, but Edge and Wyatt provides the company with a fresh matchup never before seen and could provide for some compelling television when Edge returns to television if they go that route. All we can do is stay tuned.
