Update On WWE’s Plans For Royal Rumble 2021

WWE typically announces the date and location for their largest events such as Royal Rumble and WrestleMania months, if not a year, in advance. Without the COVID-19 situation happening, WWE would have already made that announcement regarding the 2021 Royal Rumble.

WrestleVotes reported via Twitter that WWE officials are waiting to see how other professional sports handle the ongoing pandemic.

Royal Rumble usually attracts a worldwide audience who travel in for the show as well as the following night’s RAW. The PPV also sets the stage for WWE’s biggest show of the year – WrestleMania. The company would obviously like to have live crowds return by January, but as of now that remains to be seen.
