MJF States Security Guard Pushed by Samoa Joe In NXT Was Not Him

During NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II, Samoa Joe entered his match in typical Goldberg fashion; followed by security from backstage. During the entrance a young security guard was shoved aside by Joe. The guard was trying to do his respective job, but Joe didn’t want anyone ahead of him. The young security guard looked exactly like MJF, and it was pointed out by our own Cassidy Haynes.

On the August 12 episode of NXT Dynamite, MJF, appeared to recreate that moment and pushed aside another young security guard as he made his way to the ring. Due to the buzz on the internet, MJF used this to get more people talking about him.

Speaking to Inside The Ropes, MJF proceeded to state that it wasn’t him who got pushed, but he appreciated the man who was doing his job.

“I don’t know who that guy was. A lot of people think it was me, that was not me. It’s fake news. I’ll admit it, the guy did vaguely look like me, but I didn’t see it to such an extent that everybody else did. That security guard, it seemed like he was trying to do his best job, protecting Joe, getting in front of him, the wall was closing in. If anything, I would have given that guy a raise, but that was not me,” he said. “It wouldn’t shock me (if my identity was stolen), a lot of people are trying to steal a lot of different things from me.”

The way MJF talks about this security guard has me second guessing if it was or wasn’t him. He has a brilliant way of talking himself out of things on the mic. He’s a charismatic talent who is decent in the ring and I still think he should have went over Moxley.
