WWE Reportedly Only Considering Tyson Fury For Two Events

Tyson Fury is back in the wrestling headlines yet again. The Gipsy King has been talked about a lot lately in the wrestling world with his twitter feud with the current WWE Champion and fellow Brit Drew McIntyre.

Tyson Fury has not been back to WWE in a long time, but he is making his intentions known that he is very keen on a return to WWE Universe by offering an ‘official challenge’ to McIntyre. His name brings a lot of attention to wrestling and also non wrestling fans, but there will also a huge payday attached.

It was noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Fury is in the same boat as Brock Lesnar. They are big name players and the money they want only warrants them headlining high profile events. Now with WrestleMania and Saudi Arabia having huge question marks hovering above them right now it seems that WWE won’t be signing either of them to a deal right now.

Tyson Fury (who issued a challenge to Drew McIntyre this past week for a match), [is at the] point where Saudi Arabia and WrestleMania are the only shows that make sense right now and the belief right now is Saudi Arabia won’t happen this year.

If WWE can’t make it back to Saudi Arabia this year, which seems highly likely, then that missed show will roll over to the end of their current contract. It is possible that WWE and Saudi Arabia will be able to work something out in 2021 however.

It is also worth noting that WWE Champion Drew McIntyre seems to be more than willing to square up with the WBO, The Ring and lineal boxing world champion in a WWE ring, but WWE have not found a reason to set up that match, as of yet.
