Tyson Fury is no stranger to the WWE ring or the WWE Universe, having previously squared off against Braun Strowman at WWE Crown Jewel and also making several appearances on WWE Smackdown.
As reported previously, Tyson Fury has stated that he wants to face current WWE Drew McIntyre, and now the Gypsy King has made an ‘official challenge’ to the Scottish Claymore King.
In a video shot during a train journey this weekend, he said:
‘Been sitting on the train on the way home after a busy weekend, and I’m thinking about people I wanna punch in the face. The first one that springs to mind is a big fella called Drew McIntyre. Now Drew, you’ve been having quite a bit to say about me lately.’
‘I’d love to punch your face in, honestly. I’d love to give you one of them, bang, right in the lips. So grow a pair, step up to the plate – like I say to your mate AJ – and come and fight the master, me.So this is an official challenge video to Drew McIntyre, to WWE Heavyweight Champion of the world. I’ve already knocked your pal out, Braun Strowman. I’ll do the same to you. Bring it.’
World Champion boxer Fury is clearly keen on stepping back in a wrestling ring after facing Strowman in Saudi Arabia last year. Just last week, he said:
‘Drew McIntyre. Any time, any place, anywhere, buddy. Let’s get it on!’
It didn’t take long at all for McIntyre to respond, and he couldn’t resist a cheeky dig at the WBC champion and his proposed unification fight with fellow Brit Anthony Joshua:
