Upcoming WWE 2K21 Video Game Release Reportedly Cancelled

For those of you who have been looking forward to the WWE 2K21 video game, it looks like we have some bad news… as it is looking like there will not be a franchise release of the game this year.

According to Justin Leeper, who has previously worked with 2K studios on WWE 2K releases as a writer for the “Road to WrestleMania” game mode, WWE 2K21 has been cancelled.

“I have heard from reliable sources and I truly believe that WWE 2K21 has been cancelled. There will be no game this year.”

Justin went on to say, “that’s not a bad thing, that’s a good thing,” as WWE 2K20 was filled with lots of bugs, glitches, and issues. He also mentioned how he previously had pitched the idea of making the WWE 2K video games a live service, which would see regular updates instead of releasing a new game every year.

While there has been no official announcement confirming the cancellation of the upcoming WWE 2K21 video game release, there has also been no mention of the title from either WWE or from 2K Studios.

You can see Justin Leeper’s YouTube video talking about the cancellation of WWE 2K21 below.

We will keep you updated if we hear anything else about WWE 2K21 or the reported cancellation of the game release.
