WWE Releases Statement Regarding Jimmy Uso’s Arrest

arrives at the WWE's First-Ever Emmy "For Your Consideration" Event at Saban Media Center on June 6, 2018 in North Hollywood, California.

It was reported earlier today that WWE Superstar Jimmy Uso was arrested last night in downtown Detroit for disorderly conduct and obstruction after he and his wife, WWE Superstar Naomi were pulled over due to Naomi driving the wrong way down a one way street.

According to TMZ’s report the 2018 Dodge Journey that Naomi was driving was said to have “reeked of booze” and as a result Naomi was ordered to step out of the vehicle. She complied and exited the car and spoke with police officers, however Jimmy Uso is said to have then go out of the car as well after being told by police to remain in the vehicle.

It is then said that Jimmy Uso became agitated and removed his jacket and shirt, and proceeded to “square up” to police officers. The officer then pulled out his taser after becoming worried for his own safety. Eventually Jimmy Uso settled down and began listening to the Officer’s commands. He was then handcuffed and arrested for disorderly conduct and obstruction.

WWE is aware of the situation and has issued a statement regarding the arrest of Jimmy Uso, stating:

“Jonathan Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions”

The Usos are still scheduled to face The Miz & Shane McMahon for the SmackDown LIVE Tag Team Championships at the Elimination Chamber PPV this Sunday.
