Velveteen Dream Reportedly Appeared To Be Injured Last Night At The Royal Rumble

NXT TakeOver: Phoenix took place on Saturday night, missing from the card was The Velveteen Dream. Even though he wasn’t booked to compete the Dream still made an appearance and sat ringside.

After TakeOver went of the air The Velveteen Dream was involved in an altercation with Ricochet, Aleister Black against Adam Cole, Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano. This led to the announcement of WWE NXT’s “Halftime Heat” special that will air during halftime of Sunday’s Super Bowl on the WWE Network.

Even though The Velveteen Dream didn’t wrestle at Saturday’s NXT TakeOver: Phoenix event, he did however participate in the tapings of WWE’s When Worlds Collide tournament at Royal Rumble Axxess.

According to a report from PWInsider, The Velveteen Dream was apparently backstage last night for the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View. In addition it was said that Dream was seen wearing a neckbrace.

“The Velveteen Dream was sporting a neck brace last night. He had wrestled earlier in the day at the Royal Rumble AXXESS event.”

We will keep you updated if we hear anything else regarding a potential injury to Velveteen Dream.
