Update On WWE’s Plans For Trish Stratus & Lita Beyond This Sunday’s Evolution PPV

WWE is holding their first-ever all women’s PPV Evolution next Sunday night October 28th, from the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, New York.

WWE Hall of Famers Trish Stratus and Lita will face the team of Alexa Bliss and Mickie James in tag team action at Evolution in what will be their first match back with the company in quite some time, with the exception of their appearance as surprise entrants in the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match back in January. Originally Trish was scheduled to face Alexa Bliss and Lita was wrestling Mickie James in singles matches at Evolution, but the match was changed to a tag team bout a couple weeks ago.

But what does the future hold for both Trish and Lita beyond Sunday’s Evolution PPV? According to a new report from PWInsider, there are plans in place that will see WWE use both Hall of Famers for more of their big events in the future. The report when on to mention next year’s Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 35 as examples of big events in which WWE may plan on using Trish Stratus and Lita.

On the latest episode of Barn Burner’s No Holds Barred podcast, Joseph Peisich also confirmed the report saying that he too has heard that both WWE Hall of Famers will be working with the company beyond Evolution.
