Is WWE Planning To Build A New Structure For The Elimination Chamber?

After last night’s episode of WWE Monday Night RAW went off the air, Kurt Angle announced on Facebook Live that Finn Balor and Seth Rollins both would be added to the upcoming Elimination Chamber match. The match will now contain seven competitors instead of the usual six inside the Chamber. The winner of the match will of course challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Title at WrestleMania 34.

On today’s installment of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez revealed that WWE does not plan to rebuild the Elimination Chamber structure to include a pod to fit the extra competitor. Instead, in order for all seven men to fit into the match, three men will start the match instead of the usual two. WWE officials figured that this would be an easier solution to slightly modify the rules instead of spending the extra money to build a completely new structure.

This solution makes sense being that by adding another pod, it would be unused in the Women’s Elimination Chamber match.
