  • Liv Morgan On Stephanie Vaquer: She Should’ve Killed Me.

Liv Morgan On Stephanie Vaquer: She Should’ve Killed Me.

Liv Morgan is walking into WrestleMania 42 for a huge singles championship match against WWE Women’s World Champion, Stephanie Vaquer. While this isn’t Liv’s first WrestleMania, it is the first time she has an opportunity like this.

For Stephanie Vaquer, this is her first ever WrestleMania. Despite being champion, Stephanie has been on the fast track to success since moving up from NXT less than a year ago, and will compete for the first time at a show this big. Unluckily for her, she has to defend against a Liv Morgan who’s ready to die for the championship.

”Are you guys kidding me? Look at me. Look at me. I’m still like a 10 out of 10, but, you don’t get to come and mess with Liv Morgan and Mae me bruise. She should’ve killed me. And that was her biggest mistake, and I’m okay. And I’m going to come back so much harder than she expects. She’s actually going to get a little taste tonight. But, I feel good. I feel good honestly. I just feel ready for WrestleMania. I’m not nervous, I’m not scared, I don’t feel pressure. I am completely, fully present in my body, in my mind, in my soul. It is so, so, so, so much sweeter that it took me eleven years to get my very first title match, to headline WrestleMania. If I could re-write my career to this point in time, I would keep everything exactly as it is. I’m really proud of my journey and where we are at today.”

Liv Morgan is being documented and followed around all week for the WWE WrestleMania 42 Vlog series. This started on Monday Night Raw, and will carry up until WrestleMania Saturday. You can see the full vlog below.

  • Randy Orton Wants To Retire With More Gold Than Anyone Else

Randy Orton Wants To Retire With More Gold Than Anyone Else

Randy Orton is set to headline Night 1 of WrestleMania 42 on Saturday night. On that event, he will challenge Cody Rhodes for the WWE Undisputed Championship.

Randy Orton is already a 14 time world champion. But now, he’s closing in on becoming a 15 time world champion and inching closer to beating John Cena’s 17 world championship reigns. When asked by Wade Barrett what he’s driven by, it was of course, legacy.

”Oh, I’m driven by legacy, Wade. But, I think that everything in life, especially everything here, has at least a little bit of personal to it. I mean, everything’s person for me. When you come down to it, you look at the history of Cody and I, and it’s every bit personal. Our history, I don’t know if I have a history with any other WWE Superstar more than I have with Cody Rhodes. But, in this particular moment, what’s driving me is legacy because I realize, Wade, that nothing lasts forever. I want to rack up as many points as I can on the board before the time comes that I hang up the boots. Next thing on the list for me to accomplish is that 15th world championship. Then, I beat Triple H. And then I’ve got Ric Flair and John Cena in my sights. My goal is to leave this company one day, with more world championship gold around my waist than any other competitor that has ever stepped foot into a WWE ring.”

Randy Orton gets one step closer to that if he can defeat Cody Rhodes this Saturday night. If he can do that, he’s on the path to having the greatest legacy in WWE history.

  • Oba Femi: I’m Stronger Than I Even Know Sometimes

Oba Femi: I’m Stronger Than I Even Know Sometimes

Oba Femi is headed into his first WrestleMania and has the biggest match of his life, both mentally and physically.

On night 2 of WrestleMania 42, Oba Femi will kick off the night by going toe to toe with Brock Lesnar. These two behemoths have been on a collision course for weeks, and it’s about to explode in two days time.

Before the clash, Oba Femi sat down for a special inside look on WWE’s YouTube channel. It was there, where he revealed that he’s stronger than he even knows.

“I’m stronger than I even know sometimes. I grew up in Lagos, Nigeria. I’m stronger than a lot of people because I lived life on hard mode in Nigeria. When I was coming up, things were tough. It was a harder life than it should’ve been.”

Oba went on to reveal that as a kid, he used to watch bootleg DVDs to see his favorite wrestlers.

”My all-time favorite is Triple H, The Undertaker, the aura surrounding those men, they just seemed so grand. It was their larger than life personality.”

Now, Oba Femi is that larger than life character to the fans in 2026. And he’ll be on the grandest stage of them all, looking to use all that strength and the hardships, ball it up into whatever he can to slay the beast, Brock Lesnar.  But, that’s no easy task.

“I have this undying motivation to win. I’ve been in that winning mindset for so long now, that I’ve like kind of lost that underdog feel. But, that’s also a part of the reason why Brock Lesnar standing across from me, is such a big deal. Because, he would be my most recent thing to overcome. This is the highest challenge I’ve ever had in front of me.”

Now, all that’s left to do is get ready for the fight of his life. You can see the full inside look on Oba Femi in the video below.

  • WWE Makes Major Changes To WrestleMania 42 Stage Setup

WWE Makes Major Changes To WrestleMania 42 Stage Setup

As they say in pro wrestling, “plans change.”

WrestleMania 42 is set to take place on Saturday, April 18th, and Sunday April 19th from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. Just days before “The Showcase of the Immortals,” it appears that WWE has decided to make some major changes to the planned WrestleMania 42 Stage.

According to a report from PWInsider, WWE has decided to make some major changes that will greatly impact the planned set up for the WrestleMania 42 stage. The new setup will now have WWE seating fans directly on the WrestleMania stage, which will in turn see the pyrotechnics moved behind the stage. In addition, the new setup will feature seating on both sides and have a central entrance aisle. Thus changing WWE Superstar entrances and overall show visuals.

The reported changes should make the setup for this year’s WrestleMania 42 stage noticeably different from last year’s WrestleMania 41 stage, both of which were held in Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

We will keep you updated here at Bodyslam.net if more information or leaked images of the WrestleMania 42 stage and ring area becomes available.

  • Cody Rhodes Says Old School Locker Rooms Were “Far More Naked”

Cody Rhodes Says Old School Locker Rooms Were “Far More Naked”

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes continues his media push ahead of WrestleMania 42, and during a recent appearance on the Your Mom’s House podcast, he offered a candid, and very on-brand, take on how locker room culture has changed across generations.

Speaking openly, Rhodes admitted he’s somewhat removed from today’s locker room environment due to his current status. But gave his thoughts on which locker room was more naked, the Old School locker room or the Modern locker room.

“This sounds pretentious, but I haven’t been in the locker room in a while because I have a bus. I have my own little locker room. I don’t know if the modern locker room is as naked as the old school locker room. My dad [Dusty Rhodes], there are all these stories, because he was also the booker of the show, so you’d come to have and ask, ‘What’s the finish?’ He’s famous for always being in his cowboy boots and naked while telling them [the finish]. Everyone has a story. They were a far more naked bunch. I think that nakedness was a disarming tactic. I think the locker room has got to be naked. I’ll go ahead and say that.”

Rhodes pointed to stories about his father, Dusty Rhodes, as a defining example of the old-school environment, one that was far less polished and far more unpredictable than today’s structured WWE setting.

While modern locker rooms are more segmented, with top stars often operating in private spaces, the territory-era culture thrived on chaos, camaraderie, and, apparently, a lack of modesty.

Rhodes’ comments underline how much the business has evolved, even as its personalities and traditions continue to echo through generations. And in classic wrestling fashion, it’s those larger-than-life stories that still resonate.

With WrestleMania 42 approaching, Rhodes remains front and center, not just as champion, but as a bridge between wrestling’s past and present.

Cody Rhodes will defend the WWE Undisputed Championship against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 42 on Saturday Night, April 18th.

  • Triple H: I Don’t Know What The F*ck Lemon Pepper Steppers Are

Triple H: I Don’t Know What The F*ck Lemon Pepper Steppers Are

Triple H understands that sometimes, things won’t make any sense to him, and that’s the best way to look at it.

During a conversation with Variety. Triple H and Shawn Michaels, both men who oversee WWE talent from the main roster with Paul Levesque to NXT with HBK’s input and advice to lead the next generation of superstars in the WWE spoke about the rise of SmackDown’s Trick Williams and Raw’s Je’Von Evans.

Here is the full comment from the Variety interview from Triple H below.

“I certainly can’t write for Trick (Williams). To address it directly, I saw Kev make a mention of Je’Von (Evans) and saying, ‘Well, I wish they treated his character differently. He’s a little too much of this for me.’ Somebody told me about it, I was like, ‘It’s just him…’ That’s just who he is. That’s how he acts, that’s how he talks to me backstage, that’s how he is in the afternoon, and then, we just kind of give him the gist of what he’s gonna say and then he goes and says it but, that’s just who he is, and similar thing for Trick, I don’t even know what the f*ck lemon pepper steppers are. It doesn’t make any sense to me. It shouldn’t. Yeah, it shouldn’t. I can feel it when he says it — the cool stuff — or for the most part because I can feel the crowd react to it or I can feel the things that are clicking for him… If he runs dry on cool sh*t to say, he ain’t getting it from me. The character that you put around it, the emotion that you put around it, your spin on it, all that stuff is really what makes it great.”

You can see Triple H’s comments below.

Levesque also spoke on the comments made by his friend and Hall of Famer, Kevin Nash, who referred to Evans as being too ‘Mr. Bojangles’.

Mr. Bonjangles, real name Bill Robinson, was a Black man who was a tap dancer during the segregated eras of Jim Crow and the Great Depression in the United States of America. Robinson had to take on roles that played on racist stereotypes about Black people for him to be accepted and find success in the mainstream.

Williams is set to battle WWE United States Champion Sami Zayn and Evans is set to be involved in a Ladder match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, held by Penta, both matches will be held at WrestleMania 42 this weekend.

  • Triple H: I Thought I Killed Marty Garner When I Hit Him With The Spiked Pedigree

Triple H: I Thought I Killed Marty Garner When I Hit Him With The Spiked Pedigree

This incident happened 30 years ago.

In a new interview with Variety, Triple H and Shawn Michaels spoke about a plethora of things, including the time Triple H thought he accidentally killed someone in the ring when he hit a spiked pedigree on an extra (Marty Garner AKA Cham Pain) and the reaction he got backstage following the match.

“It’s funny, when I first came in here, I had started using a version of the Pedigree in WCW and they wanted me to do — I think they had seen (Diamond) Dallas (Page) do the Diamond Cutter or something and they wanted me to use that so I used it for a couple of matches on TV. I didn’t feel comfortable using it and I felt like somebody else is already doing it and I said, ‘Well, I have this other move that I did before’ and I did the Pedigree and I remember Chief (Jay Strongbow) coming to me like, ‘Well, why didn’t you do that the whole time?’ I was like, ‘Because you guys told me not to.’ But, that kid that took the — I think his name was Cham Pain — was a friend of The Hardys. He came in to do an extra, and he’s a good hand and all that stuff. We just talked about it beforehand — doing the Pedigree — and when I went to do it, he went straight up and down and I tried my hardest to hold ‘em up. Because I was like, oh, I can piledrive him and he landed–I thought I killed him. I was like, ‘Holy sh*t.’ I was like, ‘Are you okay?’ And he said, ‘Yeah, I’m okay.’ When I walked back through Gorilla (Position), everybody was staring at me like, ‘What’d you do?’ I was like, ‘He said he’s fine.’ It’s not like I threw him up there. He just jumped up there and he was totally fine with it so, we got lucky…”

At the time, Levesque was wrestling under the name Jean-Paul Levesque, he would soon move on from that name before finally discovering himself as Triple H, with his variety of nicknames like the Game or the Cerebral Assassin.
