UFC Champion Alex Pereira Fronts New Project Rock Shoe Campaign

As UFC 328 approaches, reigning UFC champion Alex Pereira is stepping into the spotlight outside of the Octagon as the face of a new campaign from Project Rock and Under Armour.

Project Rock, the performance training brand founded by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in partnership with Under Armour, unveiled a new campaign centered around Pereira and the emotional pressure athletes face before stepping into competition. The campaign highlights the quieter, more personal side of fight preparation rather than the chaos and spectacle often attached to major UFC events.

The campaign follows Pereira during the tense moments leading up to a fight, focusing on the pressure, expectations, and mental weight carried by elite athletes before walking into battle. Rather than leaning entirely into intensity and aggression, the story pivots when Pereira notices a young fan in the crowd, reconnecting him with the deeper motivation behind his journey and career.

The message behind the campaign centers on the idea that even at the highest level of combat sports, athletes are still driven by personal purpose, inspiration, and the people who support them along the way.

The release also serves as the official launch of the new Project Rock BSR 5 Training Shoes. The “Blood. Sweat. Respect.” training shoe was designed to handle multiple forms of training, including strength work, HIIT sessions, conditioning, and mobility exercises.

You can see the new Alex Pereira Project Rock BSR 5’s below.

According to Under Armour, the BSR 5 was created to provide versatility throughout every phase of training, giving athletes a shoe built for both explosive performance and everyday preparation.

Pereira continues to be one of the UFC’s biggest global stars and most recognizable champions, making him a natural fit for the latest Project Rock campaign heading into one of the company’s biggest UFC promotional windows of the year.

The timing of the campaign alongside UFC 328 places additional focus on Pereira as one of the promotion’s marquee attractions, while also further connecting Project Rock and Under Armour to the combat sports audience.

Fans can expect the campaign to roll out across digital and social media platforms in the lead-up to UFC 328.

Sean Strickland Claims Submissions Are “Gay” Ahead Of UFC 328

Sean Strickland is set to challenge Khamzat Chimaev for the UFC Middleweight Championship this Saturday at UFC 328 in Newark, New Jersey.

Ahead of the fight, fighters are doing media rounds this week and of course, Sean Strickland is one of them. He’s no stranger to saying off-the-wall, controversial things, and this week is no different. Sean Strickland has never had a submission attempted against him in any of his UFC fights. And he thinks it’s because submissions are gay.

“Maybe because I’ve only fought men, I don’t know. […] I mean, dude, Submissions are fucking gay, dude. It’s like, they’re fucking gay. Like, I don’t, I’m sad that I have to potentially have to deal with a guy who wants to dry-hump my leg. But I’m also never really in a position for guys to do submissions, right? Like, I don’t want to go on my back, you know?”

Khamzat Chimaev is known for his grappling. With a 15-0 record, he holds 6 of those wins by submission. There’s a good chance Sean gets taken down Saturday night.

  • Khamzat Chimaev Doesn’t Care About Being Pound For Pound #1

Khamzat Chimaev Doesn’t Care About Being Pound For Pound #1

Khamzat Chimaev is the current UFC Middleweight Champion. He’s the top dog in his division. But, when it comes to being #1 pound for pound in the entire UFC, he just doesn’t care.

During an interview with UFC on Paramount, Khamzat was asked about being the best pound for pound, to which he replied “I don’t care about so much about that.”

He continued on; “Why should I care about that stuff? I just came to make millions, smash somebody, be happy, go home, you know? So.”

Theres always a dangerous mindset when a fighter is just there to fight, and not caring about all the outside noise. This Saturday, Khamzat Chimaev will look to continue his streak at UFC 328.

Sean Strickland Calls Josh Hokit’s Personas Fake And Fabricated

Sean Strickland is a big personality in the UFC. But, he’s not a fan of another new personality in Josh Hokit. Despite liking him as a person, Sean thinks Josh’s shtick is fake.

    Sean Strickland is set to challenge Khamzat Chimaev for the UFC Middleweight Championship this Saturday at UFC 328 in Newark, New Jersey. Ahead of the bout, Strickland has been doing the media rounds and there is where he revealed that he feels Josh Hokit’s personas are fake and fabricated. When asked about Josh, Sean said;

”You know, again, I respect him for doing it, but it’s like, for me it’s too much. It’s like, it’s such a  fabricated like, you know, it’s like, it’s so fake and fabricated I just, I’ll see a clip and I’ll just shut it off right away. And it’s not that, I like Josh, I’ve trained with him, I’ve met him personally, like, he’s actually a really nice guy. But like, to go and interviewing people on the street, it’s like, you’re just like, you know, you’re like an old influencer, dude. You’re like fucking what, mid 30’s? And you’re trying to be a fucking influencer? Like, stop, dude. Like, just shut the fuck up, be yourself, go train. Or don’t, man, I guess what you’re doing is working, you’re on the white house card.”

”Yeah, it’s like dude, you’re like in like, how old is he? Mid 30’s? Hey, how olds Josh? But, let’s say mid 30’s, dude, and you’re walking around like you’re fucking 18 years old trying to get a YouTube star. What’re you doing, dude?”

WATCH: Reporter Asks Khamzat Chimaev About Dagestan, Despite Him Never Being There

Well, that got awkward real quick. Khamzat Chimaev is not from Dagestan and has never been there. Despite the similarities between the beard-no-mustache combo, not everyone is from Dagestan.

Khamzat Chimaev is headlining UFC 3028 this Saturday in Newark, New Jersey as he puts his Middleweight Championship on the line against Sean Strickland in the main event. This week, Khamzat is doing media rounds for the show, and that’s when a very awkward encounter took place.

Khamzat Chimaev was asked what’s the secret behind training in Dagestan. But, here’s the catch, he’s never even been there. Chimaev responded with ”I don’t know, ask Islam. I’m not from Dagestan. I’m from Chechnya.” The reported followed up with “You’ve never trained there?” To which Khamzat replied “No.” Before awkwardly looking down.

  • Alex Pereira Throws Out First Pitch For Yankees Game

Alex Pereira Throws Out First Pitch For Yankees Game

He can fight, and he can pitch. Chama. Alex Pereira is on a roll recently and apparently he’s a solid baseball pitcher, too.

UFC 328 is this Saturday in Newark, New Jersey and to promote the event, Alex Pereira (who is not on the 328 card) took the small trek over the New York yesterday to throw out the first pitch at the Yankee’s game. And he did a pretty good job at doing so, considering some celebrities have pitched some very terrible balls.

The Yankees did win, so, it looks like Pereira ringing in the game was good luck. While Alex isn’t on the UFC 328 card this weekend, he is fighting at The White House June 14 for UFC Freedom 250 when he moves up to Heavyweight to battle Ciryl Gane for the interim-Heavyweight Championship.

Khamzat Chimaev is not scared of anyone. In fact, he’s the one people should be afraid of. The UFC Middleweight Champion is set to defend his title against Sean Strickland at UFC 328 this Saturday in Newark, New Jersey.

This championship bout is headlining the card, with a Flyweight Championship fight scheduled for the co-main event between Joshua Van and Tatsuro Taira. This week, every fighter on the card is doing their media runs, including Khamzat, who revealed some interesting information. Khamzat told the press that he was the one who actually asked for this fight.

“After his fight, he’s talking that shit about me. Just called Hunter [Campbell], give me this guy. Let me try his meat.”

Khamzat and Sean have trained together in the past, but,  things between the two have really turned sour. Dana White even went on record to say they’ll need to beef up security for this fight week. It’s going to get chaotic.
