After taking a hard kick to the face last Monday on Raw, many wondered the status of Asuka.
During her match where her and Charlotte Flair took on Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax, Baszler delivered a rough kick to the face that wound up causing the Raw Women’s Champion to break a tooth. Now, Ringside News has reported an update on her status.
The site reports that the WWE considers Asuka injured after the kick. She will be considered out of action at least this week, possibly a few. While it is possible that Asuka could appear in a backstage segment, it’s unlikely she will be involved in anything physical.
The WWE still has yet to show their hands for her creatively over the next few weeks, as the person she had been scheduled to face at Elimination Chamber was Lacey Evans, but the match was canceled due to Evans’ real life pregnancy.
