On the June 11th episode of Friday Night SmackDown, it was revealed that WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley is injured and doctors are evaluating how long she will be out of action. But it seems WWE is putting contingency plans together in case Ripley misses a significant amount of time.
According to Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select, WWE has begun changing significant plans for not only the direction of Ripley, but also a lot of the women on the SmackDown roster.
There are also plans in place if Ripley will be out of action for a long period of time. WWE already has removed all advertisements involving Ripley with the upcoming WWE premium live event Night of Champions, which takes place on June 27th in Saudi Arabia. Now the new advertisements show United States Champion Tiffany Stratton.
Ripley had just won the title back at WrestleMania against Jade Cargill back on April 19th. Ripley then defended it against Cargill at Clash in Italy on May 31st. Ripley’s last match was on the European Tour on June 3rd.
We will keep you updated here at Bodyslam.net when more information about Rhea Ripley’s injury status becomes available.
