Rey Mysterio would love to see WWE return to Mexico for a PLE event.
The WWE has been having a blast this year with their PLE events being held in France, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Glasgow, and Berlin soon. With international fans hoping to see their homeland getting picked, the superstars of WWE want to see their home get represented one day.
During an interview with Graham “GSM” Matthews for Bleacher Report, Rey Mysterio spoke about how he would love to see a PLE event held in Mexico in the next couple of years.
“I’m hoping that it happens in the next three years. I think my people deserve something as good as a PLE. I’m truly hoping. We have a huge stadium over there, Estadio Azteca, which I believe is being remodeled this year. I think the fans would go crazy. Mexico has always been an incredible crowd for wrestling and what better than to pay it off with WWE coming over there and giving them something as special as a PLE?” Mysterio said.
Mysterio recently lost to current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest on the June 3 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw.
