Undertaker On Dream Match With Sting: I Got New Knees And He Had To Go And Retire, He Ruined The Whole Thing

The deadman has jokes.

One of the biggest dream matches that never truly happened between both characters of The Icon Sting and The Phenom, The Undertaker is something many fans worldwide wonder what could have been if it did happen.

In a conversation during his recent Patreon exclusive Q&A. The Undertaker himself joked about potentially coming out of retirement to make that dream match come to life with the Icon himself.

“It’s still tough for me. I’m still coming to grips with it. I may or may not have said to my wife recently that I was going to make a comeback. Fortunately, I think I’ve talked myself out of that,” he said. “No, there’s not one more match. I just got back from Australia. I was tired and I knew I had a lot of stuff coming up and that was me just feeling comfortable saying it.

“That’s the only thing I do know. Don’t expect it. There’s not going to be one more match. Don’t even start,” he continued. “Well, I mean, if Sting hadn’t retired, maybe. He ruined the whole thing. I got new knees and he went and had to go and retire… Oh my gosh, we’re going to get so much heat for that.”

Before his retirement, Sting did open up and say that his goal was to face The Undertaker in the WWE when he made his debut in 2014, but it never happened due to conflicting schedules and injuries for both men.
