No draftees from the main roster to NXT were announced in the recent WWE Draft, but a main roster talent is expected to return to NXT very soon.
Sources within WWE have confirmed to Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan and Sean Ross Sapp that Mike Rome, currently the SmackDown ring announcer, is set to take on ring announcing duties in NXT as early as tonight’s show.
Rome first joined NXT as its ring announcer in 2016 and held that position until 2019. He then moved to RAW, where he served as the ring announcer until 2023, before transitioning to his current role on SmackDown.
As of now, the future role of Alicia Taylor, the current NXT ring announcer, remains uncertain.
