Yuya Aoki Set To Defend BJW World Strong Heavyweight Title Against Takuya Nomura

On March 24th, 2024, Big Japan Pro-Wrestling superstar Yuya Aoki is set to reach his one year anniversary as the World Strong Heavyweight Champion. There is one person standing in Aoki’s way before he can reach this milestone and that comes in the form of Takuya Nomura. BJW announced that Aoki will defend his championship against Nomura on March 20th at the famed Korakuen Hall.

On February 23rd, Nomura teamed with Kazumi Kikuta as they defeated Aoki & Daichi Hashimoto. Nomura got the win for his team by defeating Aoki. This led Nomura to challenge Aoki for his World Strong Heavyweight Championship.

This will be the 8th defense of BJW’s top championship for Aoki. He is coming off a huge win on February 18th against Kazumi Kikuta. Nomura will be looking to regain the World Strong Heavyweight Championship which he held from September 2021 until January 2022.

In another title match scheduled for March 20th, the BJW Certified Deathmatch Heavyweight Champion Yuki Ishikawa will put his title on the line against Takumi Tsukamoto.
