Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns Set For WrestleMania 40 Main Event

Triple H has made his decision – and it’s official.

Over on X/Twitter, Triple H announced that Roman Reigns will defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against two-time Royal Rumble Winner, Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania XL.

As the winner of the Royal Rumble for the second year in a row, Cody Rhodes chose to face ‘The Tribal Chief’ during the WrestleMania 40 kickoff. While Roman Reigns made the decision to battle The Rock, that wasn’t up to him, nor his cousin.

The WrestleMania 40 kickoff came to an abrupt conclusion, as The Rock slapped Cody, after feeling as his family was being insulted. Cody said that both Roman and The Rock’s grandfathers would be ashamed of them, which ‘The Brahma Bull’ didn’t necessarily appreciate, which resulted in a wild scene.

After it was all said and done, the cameras transitioned over to Triple H in the backstage area, where The Rock told him to fix the situation, which came after both Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins were trash talking both of them at the conclusion of the kickoff.

Which only resulted in Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes being made official. It might not be what he had in mind, but the situation has been fixed. And a decision has officially been made.
