Rossy Ogawa Comments on STARDOM Exit

Former STARDOM founder, Rossy Ogawa comments on his departure from the company.

On February 4th, both Bushiroad and STARDOM announced that they terminated the contract of founder, Rossy Ogawa. The announcement states that Ogawa “poached STARDOM wrestlers and staff.”

It didn’t take long for Ogawa to take to Twitter and comment on the situation. He decided to write that he was informed of his forced departure, and about his contract getting terminated. He went on to state that the truth revolving around the situation may be told someday, but as far as he’s concerned, he was worried about the wrestlers right now. He is thankful for everyone that has supported STARDOM for well over a decade and said that from now on, the company will be run by Bushiroad.

Soon after, the world of professional wrestling began to discuss this shocking piece of news. Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer proceeded to report that many STARDOM wrestlers are still quite loyal to Ogawa. His exit could indeed lead others to depart from the company when several of their contracts are up in March.

Along with that, Fightful‘s Sean Ross Sapp reported that in learning of Ogawa’s departure, this came to light to Fightful several days ago and more specifically, Wednesday night. There has been rumors across both NJPW and AEW that Rossy could indeed be WWE-bound, or hoping for either a job or partnership, that aligns with WWE. For months, it had been speculated that it didn’t seem like Giulia was all that interested in joining AEW.

Several sports agents over the last few months had found it interesting that Giulia didn’t seem interested in having a rep.

Bodyslam will continue to update this situation as it continues to develop.
