Tonight’s edition of ‘WWE SmackDown’ went down from the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida. Just 24 hours away from the ‘Royal Rumble’ premium live event, LA Knight sent a warning shot to Solo Sikoa, Kairi Sane and Asuka outlasted Kayden Carter and Katana Chance to become the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, and more!

Live Coverage

The show begins and our commentary team of Michael Cole and Corey Graves welcome us to tonight’s show.

Randy Orton, LA Knight, and AJ Styles Promo

Randy Orton’s music hits and out comes ‘The Apex Predator.’ Orton says he’s here to talk business and directs his attention towards ‘The Bloodline.’ Orton says like them or not, Roman Reigns is unstoppable and so is ‘The Bloodline’…but he’s the one for the job. Orton says no matter how many numbers are talked about during tomorrow night’s ‘Royal Rumble’ event, the only number that’s going to matter at the end of the night is 15…because he’ll be a 15-time World Champion if he beats Reigns (as well LA Knight and AJ Styles). Orton says he’s going to end Reigns’ historic streak with the three most dangerous letters in sports entertainment…R.K.O!

AJ Styles interrupts and asks Orton if he realizes that there are other people competing in the Undisputed WWE Universal Title match outside of Reigns. Styles says Orton is overlooking him and after the rumble ends, Orton has a receipt coming. Styles says after tomorrow night, he’s stepping over Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, and…LA Knight’s music hits before Styles can say his name and ‘The Megastar’ comes down to a monstrous pop.

Knight says he’ll let Styles finish because he was about to say the name of the next Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, and the crowd erupts with an ‘L.A. KNIGHT’ chant. Knight says it’s interesting that he’s the only one that’s in the fatal-four-way match that also has a match tonight and says it’s because Paul Heyman pulled some strings to make sure Roman Reigns has the biggest threat eliminated. Knight says it doesn’t matter because he’s going to hit Solo Sikoa so hard, tonight, that he’s going to start doing his dad’s old dance moves (and begins dancing like Rikishi). Knight makes his exit and Styles cheap shots Orton as the segment comes to a close.
