Chris Jericho appeared on Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite to call out and challenge members of the Don Callis Family, following the big tag team match that he and Sammy Guevara had against Ricky Starks and Big Bill.
Le Sex Gods lost that match due to interference from the Don Callis Family and now, Jericho has sworn revenge.
“I wouldn’t say those Tag Team Championships slipped from our grip,” Jericho told Renee Paquette in a backstage interview. “I think they were ripped out of our hands by the Don Callis family; Takeshita, Hobbs, you caused us to lose to Big Bill and Ricky Starks. You caused Sammy Guevarra to be injured so he’s not here tonight. You took what was rightfully ours.”
Jericho then called out Takeshita personally, saying that the Japanese-born wrestler hit him with a Kendo stick, which caused him to get powerbombed through a table. In response, Jericho threatened to use a barb-wired baseball bat, a pane of glass, or a pizza cutter on Takeshita.
“I don’t know what it’s going to be, but I do know this,” Jericho warned. “Now, even though I just beat you in Tokyo less than a month ago in a classic match, suddenly that match doesn’t mean as much anymore. Now, I’m going to SEEK AND DESTROY YOUR ASS.”
Matt Sydal then appeared and challenged Chris Jericho to a match, which Jericho happily accepted. That match will air on AEW Rampage on Friday night.
It is currently unknown when, where, or how Chris Jericho will seek and destroy Takeshita’s ass.
