Andrade El Idolo On CMLL Return: It Feels Great Going Back To The Place Where It All Began, I’m Always Grateful To The Fans

Andrade El Idolo reflected on his return to CMLL.

Before signing with the WWE in 2015, Andrade competed for CMLL for several years where he went on to win many championships such as the CMLL World Tag Team Championships and the NWA World Historic Welterweight Championship.

This past December, Andrade made his return where he competed at several shows over the last couple of weeks. In a post on Instagram, Andrade commented on the return and thanked the fans for being part of this big moment for him.

“How great it feels to go back to the places where you started in the business and face past rivals and peers and realize and face new talent. Always grateful to the fans and to all the fans for shouting the name of LA SOMBRA, ANDRADE, & EL ÍDOLO. Thank you Mexico. VIVA MEXICO CABRONES,” Andrade El Idolo wrote.

Andrade lost to Miro at AEW Worlds End this past December, it was also his final match in AEW as Tony Khan stated that he didn’t expect Andrade to renew his deal.
