Update On Liv Morgan Following Arrest, Said To Be “Absolutely No Heat” On Her Within WWE

WWE Superstar Liv Morgan was arrested on Thursday December 14th, 2023 in Sumter County, Florida.

Gionna Daddio, who is better known as WWE Superstar Liv Morgan, was arrested earlier this week for possession of marijuana (less that 20 grams), as well as possession of a synthetic cannabinoid.

According to the police report, a Sumter County Sheriff’s Deputy stated that they witnessed Morgan cross over street lines “several times” before pulling the vehicle over, and upon approached smelled marijuana when they got close to her Jeep. The deputy stated that there was marijuana found in a pink fuzzy bag in the vehicle, as well as a vape pen containing an oil-like substance. Morgan was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center, and released after posting $3,000 bond, jail records show.

PWInsider is reporting that Liv Morgan’s arrest on Thursday was not widely known within WWE before news broke online. Several top WWE Executives had spoken with Morgan on Friday and were aware of her arrest, however the information was said to have kept within a small circle. Additionally, there is a story going around within WWE that the vape pen, which allegedly contained a synthetic cannabinoid, that Morgan was charged with possession of, did not belong to her and it was left in her Jeep by someone else. WWE is said to be “waiting for the legal process to play out.”

Another report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful states that there is “absolutely no heat” on Liv Morgan within WWE following her arrest for possession of marijuana on Thursday. The incident reportedly will not alter any creative plans, and “there are no issues with her whatsoever.”

“Liv has not been on TV, did not alter creative plans, and was honest about the situation, there are no issues with her whatsoever” one WWE staff member said.

“Everybody liked Liv before, everybody still likes Liv. We’ll get our jokes off, and she’ll get hers off and nobody will be thinking about it soon enough,” one top talent told Fightful.

It should be noted, that while marijuana is still listed in the WWE Wellness Policy, which used to result in a $2500 fine, the company has not tested for it in years.

We will keep you updated if we hear anything more about Liv Morgan’s legal issues following her arrest for possession of marijuana, and possession of a synthetic cannabinoid earlier this week.
