KUSHIDA Reveals Relationship With NJPW Will Remain The Same, Talks Reasons For Signing With TNA

Earlier today, TNA Wrestling announced that KUSHIDA had signed with the company.

KUSHIDA’s signing with TNA Wrestling will make him exclusive to TNA in America. But KUSHIDA is still expected to compete for NJPW in Japan. The length and terms of his deal with TNA have not yet been revealed.

KUSHIDA spoke with the Battleground Podcast about his contract status with New Japan Pro Wrestling, and signing a new deal with TNA Wrestling. He confirmed that he will still be able to compete for NJPW, and that the relationship between the two will remain. He went on to thank Scott D’Amore, and explain his reasons for choosing to sign with TNA, citing his friendship with Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin.

“I’m so happy. I’m so excited. I want to say my contract status…the relationship between me and New Japan Pro-Wrestling can remain, and there is no need [to] change. So I also signed with TNA. I would like to thank Scott D’Amore”

“One of the reasons I chose TNA is because of my good friends, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin. These two people have influenced my life. I always felt that my work was close to these two people. So Sabin, Alex Shelley, KUSHIDA, all signed to [the] same company, I can’t believe it. I’m so excited for next year.”

KUSHIDA last appeared for New Japan Pro Wrestling at the NJPW Strong Lonestar Shootout 2023 on November 10th.
