Rocky Romero: A NJPW/AEW/TNA/MLW/CMLL Supershow Is A Possibility

According to NJPW star Rocky Romero, there is a possibility that a pro wrestling supershow featuring stars from NJPW, AEW, TNA, MLW & CMLL could happen in the future.

Romero was speaking with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp when the topic of a major supershow was brought up that would include talent from AEW, NJPW, MLW, TNA/IMPACT, CMLL, and more. Romero stated that he feels it is possible but won’t happen anytime soon. Romero also feels that it would be NJPW that would bring it all together.

It’s possible. I think we’re not probably there just yet, but I think it becomes closer and closer. I feel like, definitely, New Japan is in the middle of it all. I feel like New Japan hosting some kind of show, maybe in Japan, would be really, really cool. High production, do the whole thing like a Tokyo Dome or Yokohama Arena and inviting some kind of world summit and inviting all these different companies to come wrestle on this card, which would be a real mega super card, you know? Like you said, having all the logos and everybody being attached to it, that’d be money.

Rocky Romero is scheduled to defend the MLW World Middleweight Championship and the CMLL World Historic Middleweight Championship against Mascara Dorada on December 7th at MLW’s One Shot event.
