Fans were worried when Mickie James was removed from the IMPACT roster page.
Mickie James seems to be taking a break from IMPACT Wrestling as they wind down their 2023 and prepare for the TNA Wrestling rebrand in early 2024.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Mickie James is no longer listed as an active competitor on the Impact Wrestling website’s roster.
In speaking with Impact sources, we are told that the relationship between the two sides remains fine but James is taking what was described to PWInsider as “a break” from the company.
Numerous sources within the company noted that with her status as a TNA Original and a legend for the company, she could return “at any time.”
To follow up this report, Fightful Select adds:
“Regarding Mickie James not being on the IMPACT online roster, she’s been a free agent during her entire time with IMAPACT.”
IMPACT/TNA President Scott D’Amore recently spoke about how there is going to be shakeup of the talent roster going into 2024.
Mickie James relinquished the Knockouts World Title – due to injury – back in April of 2023 ahead of the Rebellion PPV. James returned back in September as part of the IMPACT1000 celebration and was set for a historic Knockouts Tag Team Match.
James soon set her sights on the Knockouts World Title belt that she never lost. Trinity held the belt, and so the two were in each others crosshairs.
Trinity successfully defended the Knockouts World Title against Mickie at the IMPACT Bound For Glory PPV a few weeks ago, and has not been seen on IMPACT television or advertised for any upcoming events since then.
Will Mickie return to the company before or along with the TNA rebrand in 2024? We’ll all have to continue tuning in to find out.
