Bryan Danielson Was Already Injured Before Last Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite

Bryan Danielson was already injured before last Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite.

Danielson is one of the top talents on the planet, but is winding down his exemplary career inside the squared circle. He is also currently dealing with a broken orbital that will keep him out of action until the end of the year.

As AEW Dynamite drew to a close last Wednesday evening, Bryan Danielson ate both an Orange Punch and a Rainmaker and went down holding his face and was quickly examined by doctors.

On AEW Collision this past weekend, it was announced that Danielson would require surgery and once again would find himself on the injured list. Later in the show, Claudio Castagnoli confirmed Bryan had suffered a broken orbital bone.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained that Bryan Danielson actually walked into AEW Dynamite last week with his injury.

“Yeah, I guess he went in with a black eye. They didn’t know how serious he was, because obviously, he worked on it. They shot the angle to take him out during the match. So, the injury took place when they bonked heads. It was basically a fluke. It wasn’t one of those things where he got hit too hard or anything. Andrade was doing a spinning elbow, and Danielson’s head was in one place and they bonked heads, and that happens in fights and things like that fairly often.”

We will have to wait and see when Danielson will return to the ring following this injury, which has been described as a “freak accident.”
