Update: Ronda Ronda Rousey Returns To The Ring, Teams With Marina Shafir To Face Taya Valkyrie And Brian Kendrick, Ronda Comments On The Appearance

The show was run by a company called Lucha VaVoom.

On 10/26, LuchaVaVoom took to their social media Twitter account to hype a major surprise for Taya Valkyrie’a opponent at their show.

It was later revealed that one of those opponents would be former WWE and UFC superstar, Ronda Rousey. Rousey was sitting in the front row for most of the show before jumping the barricade and getting involved in the ring action.

Lucha VaVoom ran the Mayan Theatre in LA tonight headlined by Taya Valkyrie & Brian Kendrick vs Marina Shafir & Ronda Rousey. Seriously.

Rousey and Shafir would go on to win the match when Rousey applied the Ankle Lock to Brian Kendrick and he tapped out.

Rousey took to her social media Instagram account to comment on the event.

Rousey’s last match with WWE was when she lost an MMA Rules match to Shanya Bazler at the company’s Premium Live Event, Summerslam.

Taya Valkyrie and Marina Sharif are both currently employed by All Elite Wrestling.

It was very interesting to see Rousey pop up here. Will she be making a return to pro wrestling somewhere, or was this just a one off? We’ll have to stay tuned to find out.
