On the October 10 episode of WWE’s NXT, John Cena made his first appearance on the brand. Despite the new scenery and new faces, the Doctor of Thuganomics met with a fan named Cory Lutzow, a man he engaged in a rap battle with back in 2003. Being the totally hip and cool star he was, Cena won that rap battle and broke it down for Lutzow’s candy ass without remorse.
There is video evidence of the poetic warfare, shown below. Though Lutzow was funky fresh, Mr. Cena was indeed ready to stand on business as the youths say.
Brutal.
John Cena would return to his Thuganomics character a few more times in recent years, most notably against Elias at WrestleMania 35 and “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 36 in the acclaimed Firefly Funhouse Match.
