DDT Pro-Wrestling presented it’s SAKI AKAI 10TH ANNIVERSARY & FINAL COUNT DOWN IN KYOTO! event on September 30th at Kyoto KBS Hall in front of a sold out crowd.
Saki Akai, who was born in Kyoto, competed in front of her hometown crowd for the final time as she will be retiring from in ring action in November.
Akai was part of the main event as she teamed with Yukio Sakaguchi, & Hideki Okatani as they successfully defended their KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles as they defeated challengers HARASHIMA, Masahiro Takanashi & Mei Suruga.
The Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title, which is always on the line 24/7, changed hands three times during the course of the event. MAO defeated Kazuki Hirata to win the title, Saki Akai defeated MAO to become the new champion and then Kazuki Hirata regained the title by defeating Akai. Hirata became the 1579th Iron Man Heavymetalweight champion.

- Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Yuki Ueno & MAO defeated Kazuki Hirata (c) & Akito when MAO pinned Hirata with the Michinoku Driver II (13:55) MAO becomes the new champion
- BURNING Vs DAMNATION T.A!: Tetsuya Endo & Jun Akiyama defeated Daisuke Sasaki & MJ Paul when Endo pinned Paul with the Burning Star Press (10:39)
- Special Single Match: KANON defeated Takeshi Masada with the Sleepy Hollow (10:46)
- Yukio Naya & Shinichiro Kawamatsu defeated Makoto Oishi & Toi Kojima when Kawamatsu pinned Oishi with the Shitamachi Rocket (10:54).
- Pheromones Final Countdown In Kyoto: Yuki “Sexy” Iino & Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno defeated Yuni & Kazuma Sumi when Iino submitted Sumi with the Kongobuji Temple (7:46)
- Yusuke Okada & Yuya Koroku defeated Kazusada Higuchi & Rukiya when Koroku submitted Rukiya with the Modified Triangle Lancer (8:27).
