Lio Rush first showed up in IMPACT Wrestling on the 6/29 episode of IMPACTonAXSTV when he defeated Jack Price in his first official match in an IMPACT ring. Later on in the same show, Lio made a huge statement when he attacked Chris Sabin in the ring – blindsiding him – and then laying Sabin out with his own X Division Title belt to the face.
This infuriated Chris Sabin and led to Sabin putting his X Division Title on the line and challenging Rush to a match at Slammiversary.

Rush ended up defeating Chris Sabin at Slammiversary for the IMPACT X Division Title. Rush’s first defense will be Kushida, who happen to win the Ultimate X match at Slammiversary, which guarantees him an X Division title shot.
Lio Rush is currently dealing with a shoulder injury that should see him out of action for another week or two.
Lio is currently scheduled to team with Trey Miguel at the IMPACTxNJPW LIVE Multiverse United 2 show to take on Mike Bailey & Hiromu Takahashi on 8/20. Lio is also scheduled to team withBully Ray and The Most Professional Wrestling Gods (Moose & Brian Myers) to take on the team of Time Machine (Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin, Kushida) & Josh Alexander at the LIVE Emergence event on 8/27.
